Heating things up to rub Australia/New Zealand in 2016!

As Peaches starts her Euro tour in the UK this past week evoking “a remarkable show by perhaps the only artist who has the metaphorical balls to match a gigantic inflatable penis.” (, no better time to announce special guests, sold out shows… and latest video How You Like My Cut.

With the previous announcement of the MONA FOMA Australian exclusive performance of PEACHES CHRIST SUPERSTAR comes word that both Wellington and Auckland now have second shows after the first ones sold out adding to the already sold out Melbourne show and second show there. Dates and info below.

On top of this news we can now announce Peaches will be joined on all the shows by the Industrial R&B/OFF Pop! of Berlin based BLACK CRACKER – a prism somewhere between titanium foam and silk fibre, he brings together tenderness and resilience. Of his own, Unto himself! Come as U R!

Also playing Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane will be Melbourne’s electro duo HABITS with their sad goth party… and on the second Melbourne show the feminist contagion of sex clown BETTY GRUMBLE. Info and links on all below.

As Peach kicked off the UK tour last week the latest video for HOW YOU LIKE MY CUT went live. This video features choreography and a performance from Eisa Jocson, a Filipino dancer and visual artist who challenges gender norms and sexuality by combining her classical ballet training with contemporary dance forms such as pole dancing. Peaches elaborates on how the two met… “I first saw Eisa Jocson perform “Macho Dancer” as a much longer and more involved piece for a dance festival in Berlin. Eisa recreates the male exotic dancing that happens in the Philippines only by Filipino men performed in nightclubs primarily for the enjoyment of women. I was struck by how androgynous and delicate this gender specific dance is interpreted. I was lucky Eisa agreed to create a version for my song ‘How You Like My Cut’. This time there are no big cartoon pussies or naked bodies, and i do not even appear in one of my own videos for the first time. Here is a more quiet, sensual Peaches video. Another side, if you will.” Check it here:

‘RUB’ is one of the best received albums of Peaches career with Pitchfork saying it “arrives at a moment when the world needs Peaches most”. Not only is she earning critical praise from press but she is also earning kudos from her peers in the entertainment world. In a feature on Peaches in Time Magazine, Amy Schumer says “Peaches is just the shit. She’s the bravest one of us out there,” in NY Times T Style Magazine, Laverne Cox says “Peaches is everything”. Listen here to her interview with Marc Maron on his WTF Podcast HERE  and her interview with Brett Easton Ellis HERE.

“Few musical provocateurs have more brazenly challenged audiences’ ideas of gender, sexuality and even time than Peaches.” – The New York Times.

RUB and RUB REMIXED out now on Kartel.

This past year PEACHES not only released her critically acclaimed ‘Rub’ – but she won the  prestigious Polaris Heritage Prize for her iconic album ‘The Teaches Of Peaches.’ That debut album catapulted her into the spotlight with ‘Fuck The Pain Away’ appearing everywhere from Sofia Coppola’s ‘Lost In Translation’ and 30 Rock to South Park and HBO’s True Blood.  She followed that record with a series of critically acclaimed releases featuring collaborations with Iggy Pop, Joan Jett, Josh Homme, Beth Ditto and more. The past six years have been some of the most productive in Peaches’ artistic career. From her one-woman production of ‘Peaches Christ Superstar’, to the release of her first feature film ‘PeachesDoes Herself’ (an electro-rock opera which she also directed and  was or i ginally staged at Hebbel am Ufer in Berlin), to singing the title role in a production of Monteverdi’s epic 17th-century opera ‘L’Orfeo’, and collaborating with Yoko Ono, Major Lazer,  Jean-Michel Jarre  and REM.  These last years between albums are now documented beautifully in the new book ‘What Else Is In The Teaches Of Peaches,’ in which Yoko Ono writes  “Seeing her do Cut Piece, and later, after attending her own shows, I have a clear vision of future women artists led by the creative courage of Peaches. Thank you, Peaches, for adding a long and exciting life to performance art. “

Also available ‘Rub Remixed’ – featuring updates, reworks and club bangers from an all female lineup including CREEP’s Lauren Flax, Paula Temple, Planningtorock, Austra’s Maya Postepski and more… traversing acid techno, hard house, trap, deep electro, booty bass and future beats.

BLACK CRACKER is Berlin’s hottest artist! VIVA TV declared him a favorite at the Berlin festival! SZIGET festival loved his show! Paleo Festival wants more! M=Maximal presents COME AS U R! The sound is his own signature Industial R&B/OFF Pop! Dubiously, combining elements ranging from Hip Hop, Soul and Jersey Club. He has recently opened for G-Easy, FKA Twigs, Big Freedia, and My Brightest Diamond as well as being mentioned in the publications V Magazine, The Guardian, Art Forum, Dazed and Confused, and the New York Times!

After a string of collaborations with artist such as Cocorosie, Creep, LCMDF and Bunny Rabbit, and being a key member of the NYC scene paving the way for peers Le1f, Zebra Katz and Cakes Da Killa, Black Cracker moved to Berlin and has easily become the artist to watch in a short amount of time. Touring Solo internationally as well as with his jazz project Grand Pianoramax, Black Cracker’s charismatic, generosity is a refreshing change the more “egocentric” art and times. These skill he earned and mastered through his years as an award-winning slam poet and educator in the early days of his career after dropping out of art school. Continuing in his avaunt, versatility he can also been seen performing along side Blixa Bargeld in the project Kiku as well as in theater and dance projects received with high acclaim premiering in venues such as HAU, Berlin and Kampnagel, Hamburg. All of which making him a shoe in for the global “Made By You” campaign featuring him and is work presented by Converse. Next up is touring Japan, Australia, and the USA as well as the release of his most anticipated album to date COME AS U R! – out DEC 2! In the meantime TIDE:

Not one to stay put or be pigeon-holed in a time which revels in classifying artists, Black Cracker´s work has resisted and presented a problem to those who insist on stretching the chaotic web of creation into a straight evolutionary line. Acting as a prism, Black Cracker presents his expression in a myriad of forms: depending from which angle you look at him, the light he reflects will reach your eyes in a specific pattern, his sounds will reach your eardrums and make them vibrate with tenderness or action. His charisma comes from a strong sense of community and the belief that the artist and his listeners are rowing the boat together. This is an art form in itself, breaking the hierarchy between stage and audience. Video, music, design and text: Black Cracker has adapted to all these climates. Somewhere between titanium foam and silk fiber, he brings together tenderness and resilience. Of his own, Unto himself!

HABITS are unmistakeable. Whether it’s the unified front of their keenly honed aesthetic or the tracks which combine entrancing rhythm with bold aesthetics and electronics enough to make Karin Dreijer Andersson proud, their throbbing live shows have drawn eager and growing crowds, having built a reputation for their pulsing energy and emotional catharsis. Yet mystifyingly, they remain one of Melbourne’s best kept secrets. Ugly Cry, their new EP, is finally turning on the rest of the world, scoring support from community radio and the music press. Tone Deaf called it “one of 2016’s most defining Aussie EP releases” and i-D described their live show as “like going to a yoga class on MDMA: sweaty, invigorating and really, really fun.” HABITS won’t remain a secret much longer.
