In what has been an incredible FRIDAY NIGHTS AT NGV series during this current Andy Warhol | Ai Weiwei exhibition starting back in December with Moon Duo now comes with the added extra of the “idiosyncratic spectacle” that is DIED PRETTY for FRIDAY 25 MARCH. 

It’s been seven years since DIED PRETTY last toured nationally as part of the Big Day Out. This was hot on the heels of their triumphant ‘Don’t Look Back’ run of dates where they played their highly acclaimed ‘Doughboy Hollow’ album in its entirety. While their comeback run of club shows and Day on the Green shows across the country have sold out this March, the same classic lineup of Ron Peno (vocals), Brett Myers (guitar), John Hoey (keyboards), Chris Welsh (drums) and Steve Clark (bass) return by popular demand to play at Friday Nights at NGV. The occasion will be THE final time to see the band perform a selection of their most loved songs before they disappear into hibernation once again.

This special night will lead into the final weeks that feature NGAIIRE on FRI 1 APR; BLANK REALM on FRI 8 APR; DERADOORIAN (featuring Angel Deradoorian ala Dirty Projectors) on FRI 15 APR; and the final FRI 22 APR where REGURGITATOR collaborates with Seja and Chinese musician Mindy Meng Wang on Guzheng (who has performed with Gorillaz among many other projects) to recreate the first Velvet Underground album.
