Apr 22 – Regurgitator
Inspired by Andy Warhol and Ai Weiwei, Australian Alt-rock legends Regurgitator will perform a gurg-flavoured re-interpretation of the Velvet Underground’s debut album, produced by Andy Warhol, and in collaboration with Seja and Chinese musicians. Brisbane’s Regurgitator commenced in 1994 and quickly established themselves as an articulate and witty purveyor of the Australian music scene – assembling a mishmash of funk, punk, pop, electronics and any other style that stuck to the sides with their unmitigated irony and geekish nature. After 8 studio albums and an extended hiatus after a show in Beijing late 2013, they returned this year to tread the boards with their ever glowing exuberance, mania and their mashup rock and electro vibes… releasing their debut live album Nothing Less Than Cheap Imitations along with a sold out tour. They live!
